Organic, healing herbs in a double distilled, true Witch Hazel Extract base have been blended especially for the uncomfortable postpartum period. Our Witch Hazel extract is only 14% alcohol, making it more soothing and lacking the normal alcohol sting and scent of most commercial versions. If you have an infection, do not use herbal sitz baths containing calendula flowers or comfrey leaves as they may quickly heal outside tissues over infected areas.

Uses:
Sitz Bath - Fill your clean bathtub with approximately 4 inches of very hot water (Do not allow unsupervised children around filled bathtubs!). Add 1 NetherEase herbal bath tea bag and allow water to cool to desired warmth. Do not allow water to become cool. Leave bag in bath while bathing or remove from water beforehand to refrigerate for a cool, soothing compress. OR: Pour 1/2 gallon boiling water over tea bag in heat proof container and steep for 20 minutes; pour into 4 inches of very warm bath water. Soak in tube for at least 15-20 minutes. Do not rinse; simply pat dry. Continue sitz baths 1-3 times daily for at least 3 days after delivery.
Soak sanitary pads in the fresh tea and freeze for a seriously soothing and healing frozen peri-pad.
Peri Bottle - In heat-proof container, add 1 NetherEase herbal bath tea bag to 1/2 gallon of boiling water and allow to cool. Remove bag (discard or refigerate for compress) and add cooled tea to peri bottles and keep refrigerated (cold tea is very soothing and provides additional swelling reduction) until ready to use, or store in a convenient place. Rinse vaginal/perineal area after urination and gently pat dry.
Call your doctor immediately if perineal or uterine pain does not ease within two weeks, if pain suddenly increases, or if bleeding suddenly increases or becomes heavier. These symptoms could be an indication of infection and need to be addressed immediately!
